Aircraft
Digital Generator Control Unit - F-4, F-5
The RSL DGCU (The Digital Generator Control Unit) is a digital replacement for the Phantom F-4 voltage, frequency regulation and load sharing system. The new Digital Generator Control and Monitoring system is comprised of two identical units which together control the aircraft electrical power, perform continuous system protection and automatically record in-flight failures. The DGCU gains flight safety, mission availability and maintenance efficiency of the complex aircraft power supply system.
The system includes two identical DGCUs which comprises the new generators control and monitoring system. These two units replace the existing analogue system of three LRUs.
